Looking for story oriented ideas for my short story?
I have completely drawn a blank of a question I was assigned what if a higher power(s) such God, Buddha, spirits, angels, saints, etc just gave up on us humans to find our own hope, how would we cope?
The characters I need to use & incorparate are OLDER quiet hermit of a man with tattoos and very young woman whose had a severe rough life of her own and some way some how their paths cross….and then end up finding hope and the fate of the world is restored again to believing in that higher power who ever it may be….
any help with story ideas are greatly appreciated…having a hard time trying to figure out to mesh ordinary people with very extraordinary circumstances…..
YOUNG GIRL:
was malested/raped in a woods in (a state) and stopped believing in god/buddah because she couldnt believ they would have that happen to her. Many many years later, she finally gathers the guts to go back to the woods where it had all happend to remember, some things she had forgotten about that day.
TATTOO MAN:
He returns to the same spot in the woods. But for another reason. A long time ago, his friend Marcelo told him to meet him in the woods. When he finally got there, a young girl was chaseing marcelo throught the woods with ripped clothing, no pants, holding a knife in one hand. and stabbed him, then ran.
After that night, the tattoo man stopped believing in god/buddah, because of the horror of death of a loved one. Then the tattoo man went back to where it all happend, because ever since that day he hasnt been able to forget it.and needed to re visit one last time, to get it off of his mind.
OKAY THEN….
they both just so happen to go to the woods after many many years on the same day. and the girl explains to him what had REALLY happend that night when she killed Marcelo.
Tattoo man finally forgives the young girl. and the young girl,
finally has someone who was there on that day to help her get through hard times. They now have a posotive view on life. and now both believe in the high power. ( god, buddah)
