Backsplash Full
Where to start my 1×1 tile backsplash?
I’m going to start my backsplash with the square foot sheets of 1×1 inch tile. A have a few questions:
1. Should I start in the small areas first where I have to do the most cuts, or the open areas where I will be using full sheets?
2. How do I spread the mortar; with the notched side or flat side of the trowel?
This might be a repeat question, sorry. The first time I asked it my laptop was signed in under someone else’s account for some reason, so I could look at any answers!

when laying out any tile job it is best to figure out where to place your cut tiles so they become less noticeable. perhaps in a corner or behind a major appliance will work.
sometimes laying out from center is best. find the exact center of the length of the wall and lay whole tiles from this line on each side, till u reach a corner, then the tile layout, looks symmetrical.
the key to this project is your layout, planning and preparation.
a 1/8 th v-notch trowel is good enough for wall tile. use the notch to spread the mortar.
