Do you think I’m fat?
Here’s my basic information:
Age: 12
Gender: Girl
Weight: around 137lbs
Height: 5’4″
Size: Clothes: L in adults
Pants: XXL in kids (only in sweats though) Size 5 in jeans
Honestly, please be honest! I know I’m going through puberty and stuff but still. So just personal opinion please. Thank you!!! 
Just be honest. Painful comments included. But I probably won’t read the negative ones though.

There isn’t a perfect weight for a particular height, but there is an optimal weight. Don’t forget bone mass, muscle and how much you carry in your assets 
also count towards what you weigh in on your scales and those are dependent on things like your genes and level of activity.
But whether you think you’re fat or not really depends on how you feel about yourself. A couple of things to consider, you’re asking strangers on Yahoo answers if they think you’re fat, so that must mean you don’t feel too good about yourself when you look in the mirror.
Also, your size in clothes, wearing L in adults at 12 can’t be something you’re too happy about right? I loved going shopping with friends when I was your age and if I had to reach for a XXL while my friends went for M , I’d be pretty miserable.
So chances are, you are overweight for your age and height, but the good news is, you’re young and nowhere near obese. Take it from me, the older you get the harder it is to lose weight… I often look back with regret to when I was in my teens and people told me to lose those last 5 kilos. I didn’t bother cos I felt great, I never had a problem attracting guys, and knew how to dress well. But those 5 kilos turned to 10 kilos in 10 years and actually, compared to what I stuffed myself with at 15, I now eat way less and exercise way more! So beware the evils of growing old.
My advice…start getting healthy NOW! cos you’ve got time on your side! High school is when you want to look your best! and studies show ( and while this is absolutely terrible and Im disgusted by it) that people who are slim get more of a break in their lives, with money , jobs and success than people who are overweight.Isn’t that just awful? So everybody over the age of 20 and with a few pounds to lose envies you right now, cos we know how easy it is to lose those extra pounds when you’re 12.
So start NOW! It’s like when you kick the habit of biting your fingernails, when you see how nice they are when they grow out, you manage to have some self control and not chew on them , at least for a while! It’s just like that with weight loss, when you start fitting into smaller clothes, really liking what you see in the mirror and feeling good about yourself, confident, fitter and especially when the compliments start flooding in, you will find that you want to keep things that way. A little self control with the burgers and fries and pizza, a few more fruits and veggies and a little more swimming or playing a sport and you’ll be gorgeous in 6 months , I guarantee it!
